Life’s Little Mysteries

By Adam Hadhazy

In the first “Back to the Future” movie, all it took to travel through time was 1.21 gigawatts and a flux capacitor (packed into a DeLorean sports car for style points). Despite centuries of dreams and decades of bona fide research, flux capacitors remain beyond our grasp, as do any other time travel-enabling devices.

From a pure physics point of view, travel into the future is not at all impossible and in fact happens all the . . . time. With all due respect to Doc Brown, however, backward time travel stacks up as a much tougher proposition.

“We can travel at different rates to the future,” said Seth Lloyd, a professor of quantum mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “To go into the past and mess around with it, that’s more controversial.”

My watch or yours?

For a real, everyday example of time travel, consider the satellites of the Global Positioning System. Were it not for built-in calibrations, the GPS atomic clocks would gain 38 microseconds over terrestrial timepieces every day, throwing off their location accuracy by several miles. “Clocks on Earth tick a tiny bit slower than satellites out in space,” said Lloyd.

The reason: time dilation, as described by Einstein’s two theories of relativity. According to the special theory, the faster an object moves relative to another object, the slower it experiences time. For GPS satellites zooming around Earth at nearly 9,000 mph (14,000 kph), this effect cuts seven microseconds off their clocks daily (relative to clocks on Earth).

The second effect, explained by the general theory of relativity, involves gravity. Clocks closer to the center of a gravitational mass, such as Earth, tick more slowly than those farther away. GPS satellites orbit 12,500 miles (20,100 km) above the ground, and as a result have 45 microseconds tacked onto their clocks per day. The net result of the two relativistic phenomena is 38 microseconds, which engineers have accounted for with GPS technology.

On April 4 Ron Paul had UCLA students hanging out of trees. Not enough room to see? Climb a tree! Ron Paul! Ron Paul!

“Ron Paul!” they chanted on the UCLA campus, as they strained to get a look at the GOP presidential candidate. People hung out in the trees to be liberated from the Obama Plan. “Dr. Paul is worth hanging out in the trees to see,” said one student.

People came from all over southern California to the UCLA event, to hear Paul preach his message of liberty. Paul has collected 51 delegates on his trek to Tampa, and his supporters believe that when the states officially assign the delegates, he’ll get many more. He plans to campaign throughout California and was scheduled to visit three California campuses this week.

Interest in his UCLA appearance grew so large that organizers had to move the event to Straus Stadium (Los Angeles Tennis Center at UCLA). The stadium’s capacity is 7000, and Paul filled it. Tweeters were online twittering for supporters @RonPaul to come hear him speak, and they went crazy on the twitter blogs sites. People were encouraged to register as a Republican so that candidate Ron Paul could take some California delegates.

Wednesday night’s event will cost Paul’s UCLA youth chapter about $5,000, according to Edward King, National Youth Director for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign.

Paul’s vision is clear to his followers: Paul’s “Plan to Restore America,” his blueprint for economic development, includes trimming $1 trillion from the federal budget during his first year in office, with the goal of balancing the budget within three years. He plans to flesh out his “Plan” further, with specific cuts to federal spending in order to trim the national debt and reverse the growth of government.

DHS Preparing For Civil War In The US?

“One has to wonder why the DHS just made a huge purchase for ammunition.” –KTRN

Recent massive ammo purchases by US domestic agencies, Obama’s Executive Order to prepare for martial law and recent anti-protests laws all point to one thing.

The US Department of Homeland Security and the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Office have placed a massive order for ammunition. The two departments are asking for 450 million rounds of bullets to be delivered in a time-frame of five years. The contractor, Alliant Techsystems, was awarded the contract and will produce .40 caliber high-performance bullets to the agencies. The order has many wondering why would DHS and ICE need so many bullets. David Seaman, journalist and host of the DL Show, helps us answer why the order was placed.

As tyranny continues its march out into the open, it is increasingly becoming cloaked in green. Under the guise of saving humanity, a chorus of recent announcements within elite circles, think-tanks, educational institutions, and the halls of science are calling for drastic measures to stop the planet’s inevitable implosion from an overshot carrying capacity.

A U.N policy paper recently outlined the building blocks for a world government that would enforce a “heavy-handed” approach toward humanity’s impact on the environment, as this new epoch of The Anthropocene Age has begun to negatively alter the planet in irrevocable ways.

A rather infamous book, from a rather infamous group called The Club of Rome, is making a reappearance as humanity hurtles toward demise if its stewardship is not turned over to technocrats. Limits to Growth (1972) is nothing short of a blueprint for population reduction and neo-feudalism; or, as Yale economist Henry Wallich stated at the time of its release, its implementation means “consigning billions to poverty.”

It appears that this plan has been green-lighted by the elite, as recent MIT research validates the conclusions drawn by Limits to Growth at this crucial time when we see the world economy imploding, and a jack-booted green police ready to hit the streets. According to MIT, we are headed toward a guaranteed planet-wide economic collapse and “precipitous population decline” if we do not heed the words of The Club of Rome.

Austerity riots and suicides are filling the streets throughout Europe, as draconian measures are being taken to curb runaway debt. This debt has provably been created by the Ponzi scheme of international banksters who have employed a loan-shark framework that is only paying dividends to those in position to buy up deliberately collapsed assets for pennies on the dollar.

The global elite continue to ignore that the problems which have been generated across the globe have very little to do with true resource shortages, unsustainable economies, or overpopulation; but rather the centralized control, mismanagement, and outright theft by corporate entities using globalization as a means of reducing sovereignty and self-determination.

Resource-rich countries in places like Africa and those in the Middle East have long been targeted for plunder by colonialists and have never been rightly permitted to exist free of outside manipulation. This stratagem has now entered the West, where we are seeing Europe looted in similar fashion, and the resulting strife is used to divide and rule. It is the coordinated agenda of a network of think-tanks, NGOs, and international financiers well-versed in the methods of divide and conquer that form the real government of the world.

When one begins to piece together the scope of this deliberate looting, and the inevitable call for solutions from the very same players who should be held responsible, one might conclude that any of their calls for intervention based on humanitarian ideals should be judged a complete scam.

At or near the center of a web which has been woven using academia, top economists, mainstream media propaganda, climatologists, anthropologists, NGO’s, think-tanks and human rights groups — well meaning, and not-so well meaning — is The Club of Rome.

First, it is important to understand the genesis of The Club of Rome and its philosophy, as it might demonstrate an inherent misanthropy that should make us skeptical of their calls for sustainability, true equality, or the betterment for individuals who comprise the human race.

Twice now I have reported on the rash of resignations amongst top figures at financial institutions across the globe for Wake Up World (see here and here).

The number is growing by the day and I still can’t seem to find any solid reason behind why this is going on, as all of the resignations are allegedly unrelated, which is hard to believe when we see such huge numbers in such a small time span.

While I have no problem speculating and putting forth potential answers to these kinds of mysterious questions (while being sure to note that it is nothing more than speculation), I have yet to come up with anything I feel is logically and factually consistent.

I have had many readers, indeed hundreds, email me telling me it is related to the supposed “end of financial tyranny” being written about by David Wilcock, Benjamin Fulford, and others.

Unfortunately, there are just not enough facts to back up their assertions as of yet. There are many claims of high-profile arrests but no corroborating evidence ever presented.

There is indeed a massive lawsuit with some astounding allegations, but all of those are yet to move beyond anything but an allegation.

Confirmed: Terrorist Organization Trained on US Soil by US Military

Ynetnews reported in their article, “US operated deep in Iran, trained assassins,” that, “the New Yorker reported over the weekend that the US trained members of the Iranian opposition group Mujahideen-e-Khalq. According to previous reports, Israel has been cooperating with the group, which allegedly carried out hits on Iranian nuclear scientists.” Ynetnews also reported that US officials doubt Iran is or will be developing nuclear weapons, as has been claimed to justify years of sanctions, covert subversion, terrorism, and unprovoked attacks by the West against Iran.

It appears that not only Israel, but the US in tandem with Mossad have been training, arming, financing, harboring, and directing the US State Department-listed foreign terror organization (#29) Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK) since as early as 2005 where MEK terrorists were brought to Las Vegas, Nevada to train. The April 2012 New Yorker article, “Our Men in Iran?” by Seymour Hersh, elaborates in detail how the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) trained a listed terrorist organization on US soil before sending them back to Iran with weapons and money to carry out “anti-regime terrorist activities.” MEK is suspected to be behind a rash of assassinations targeting Iranian scientists, as well as handling patsies in a string of international bombings US and Israeli officials attempted to pin on Iran.

White House-Approved War Crimes: Bush-Era Torture Memo Finally Released

Recently I reported on a study which showed that states who approve of institutionalized torture, also known as “enhanced interrogation” must accept that they are going to torture innocent people for telling the truth.

This was a disturbing revelation for some, although many of my readers clearly realized that this was the case and made comments to the effect that it was just stating the obvious.

Indeed, in my mind, no government which allows torture to be carried out is legitimate, and that includes the government of the United States of America in the modern day.

Philip Zelikow helped bring much of these disturbing practices to light as he was in an unusual position as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s policy representative to the National Security Council Deputies Committee on matters surrounding intelligence and terrorism.

It is my contention that since Zelikow’s tenure, our government has become increasingly tyrannical and expansive with the now almost unbelievably large Department of Homeland Security (DHS), increasing use of Big Brother technology, and the near-complete eradication of our First Amendment rights, not to mention our Fourth Amendment rights and our now non-existent guarantee of due process.

Now Zelikow’s memo which challenges the supposed legal justifications for these practices has been released, around seven years after it was originally written, and contains some damning statements, including designating the “enhanced interrogation” practices as war crimes.

Zelikow first gained access to the Office of Legal Council (OLC) memos which outlined the supposed justification for torture shortly after they were issued in May of 2005, at which point he also became aware of the details of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program.

Ron Paul rocks UC Berkeley

“Isn’t it odd that the mainstream media is not covering Ron Paul’s record breaking rallies?” –KTRN

Ronald Reagan, the golden calf of the GOP, called it “a haven for communist sympathizers, protesters and sex deviants.” At the University of California, Berkley this week, though, students showed up in droves to support a Republican: Ron Paul.

Anti-war protests during the Vietnam era and mass gatherings during the Free Love movement made UC Berkley not just an unofficial hub of the hippie counterculture but also an opponent of the right-wing establishment during the 1960s and ‘70s. Only a few decades down the road, however, students enrolled at the same college that then-Governor Ronald Reagan dispatched the National Guard to are showing their support for a Republican Party presidential candidate.

Although the GOP has changed since the days of the Gipper — to a degree, at least — to say that the Republican Party would one day spawn a candidate so well condoned by Berkley students would have baffled the institution years earlier. Like his Republican Party rivals, Texas Congressman Ron Paul is indeed campaigning for the right. With college students at one of the most notoriously liberal schools of learning in the US, though, there’s a lot right about their candidate of choice.

Representative Paul was met by around 1,000 supported at UC Berkley this week, only a stone’s throw from where the US National Guard executed a student during a protest during Reagan’s reign over California. Paul may be campaigning as a Republican, but the ideas that drive his campaign are being hailed by young Americans disenfranchised by the broken promises and bad decisions delivered from the establishment through a two-party system where the sides have become indistinguishable at times.

Matt Longerbone, a senior in communications at Berkley, tells The Examiner that he identifies himself politically as an independent, but will without a doubt not being casting a ballot on the left this Election Day.
