Kombucha Tea Recipe

I want to pass along this wonderful Kombucha Tea Recipe I came across!

Kombucha Tea
by CJ Taylor

–Brew a pot of tea water (4 cups)
–Pour in a glass jar (gallon size)
–Steep 4 caffeinated earl grey tea bags or other black tea
–Steep 4 bags of hibiscus or other flavored tea
–Add 1/2 cup of sweet agave or 1 cup organic raw sugar
–Fill the rest of the jar with water
NOTE: Save enough space for the mother scobi. You can purchase one off the internet or use the scobi bits in a bottled kombucha from the store
–Let water cool to room temperature
–Add the scobi plus a cup or two of the liquid the scobi was in (we call this starter fluid)
–Cover it with a tea towel (rubber band it so it won’t fall off)
–Put it in a cool dry place away from the kitchen (like a closet)

The holiday season is upon us and they can be the most wonderful time of the year and the most difficult when trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, for yourself and others. So, this holiday, let’s help each other out by giving gifts that will help someone eat healthierbe healthier, and become more aware and active. You’ll feel great just doing it!

Smoothie Blender with Recipes
This gift is especially perfect for someone who doesn’t have time in the morning for breakfast. Other small kitchen appliances could be a crock pot, rice cooker, juicer, or even a pressure cooker; all great for healthy, organic cooking.

Session with a Holistic Nutritionist
Lots of people try to eat healthy, but are unsure of putting a program together for themselves. A nutritionist can help tailor an eating plan to a person’s individual needs, and create a plan the person is more likely to stick to.

Organic Turkey Recipe

Are you wondering how to roast your organic turkey this year?  Well, there’s the old fashioned way: You get up at the crack of dawn, get out the roasting pan and get to work.  Then, there are roasting bags that you buy in the market, but they’re made from plastic, which is neither healthy nor environmentally friendly.

And finally, there’s the paper bag trick!

Here’s what you need:

Ingredients
1 turkey, chicken or capon (cooking time is based on a 10-pounder)
8 garlic cloves, sliced
2 onions, coarsely chopped
3 stalks celery, coarsely chopped
3 carrots, coarsely chopped
3 bay leaves
2 T coconut oil or raw organic butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Rinse the turkey with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

Fill the cavity with your choice of stuffing, packed loosely.

Seal the cavity with skewers and tuck the turkey wings under the body.

Rub softened butter or coconut oil over the outside of the turkey.

Salt and pepper the outside sparingly.

Spray the inside of the bag with water and pour out any excess.

Place the turkey inside the bag, legs first. Roll up the opening so the bag is sealed.

Place carrots, celery, onions, garlic and bay leaves in the bottom of the roasting pan.

Put the giblets (if they come in a little bag, take them out) in the pan and add chicken stock until it reaches a depth of 1/2 inch.

Place the bag, with the turkey inside, on the vegetables so that the turkey breast is facing up.

Roast for 2-1/2 hours.

Check the temperature of the turkey by carefully rolling back the bag and inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh.

When the temperature is 155 degrees F, tear the paper bag open and increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F.

Roast the turkey another 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes, until the temperature registers 170 degrees F and the skin is golden brown.

Place the turkey on a serving dish, and tent with aluminum foil. Let rest 20 minutes. Throw away the paper bag.

The Gravy
Pour the juices that are left in the roasting pan through a sieve and into a small saucepan.  Using the back of a wooden spoon, press against any solids stuck in the sieve to extract as much liquid as possible.

Heat juices over medium heat and cook until the liquid thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Carve turkey and serve with thickened roasting juices.

Tips & Warnings
You can usually order a fresh, organic turkey from a natural food store or specialty market.  They are well worth the effort, tasting much better than commercially grown, mass-produced fowl.  In general, I recommend cooking with these meats whenever possible.

Natural food stores should have clean, all-natural brown bags that are ideal for turkey roasting.

If you have a frozen bird, make sure you allow enough time for the turkey to defrost IN THE REFRIGERATOR, not at room temp – up to several days, depending on bird size.

This year enjoy a Thanksgiving Day full of simple pleasures.  Allow the focus of the day to be the people, rather than the food.  Serve small portions, instead of piling your plate high with food, and stuffing yourself.  Chew every bite thoroughly, savoring both the aroma and flavor of each dish, while enjoying food and friendship.  Eat and relax with the knowledge that there will be another meal, as this will not likely be your last.  So, take the time to breathe deeply, remembering to love and appreciate others, while having gratitude for your life.

What To Do Before/After a Forced Vaccination

As promised, here are just a few recommendations for what to do before and after a forced vaccination.  These tips come directly from three of my dearest friends, Dr. Leonard Coldwell, Fred Van Liew and Dr. Jeff McCombs.

Dr Leonard Coldwell

Listen to Dr Coldwell’s IBMS Stress Reduction and energizing CDs because healing and health can only happen in the state of relaxation and an abundance of energy. Remember the only cause of illness is lack of energy!

General information: Drink a Gallon of water a day with half a tea spoon of sea salt in it. Get instantly on a raw food diet and / or organic whole foods. Start juicing. Sleep at least 7 hours each day and take restful breaks whenever you feel tired or weak. Do not watch the news or negative TV shows. Watch shows or movies that make you laugh. Stay informed by listening to www.ktradionetwork.com and use instead of sugar this product.  It is not only organic and sweet it is extremely healthy.

1. Place a cold compress on the site of the injection immediately after the injection and continue this as often as possible for at least two days. If symptoms of fever, irritability, fatigue or flu-like symptoms reoccur — continue the cold compresses until they abate. A cold shower or bath will also help.

2. Take fish oils — I recommend the Norwegian fish oil made by Carlson Labs — it has the correct balance of EPA and DHA to reduce the cytokine storm. The dose is one tablespoon a day — if severe symptoms develop — two tablespoons a day until well and then switch to one tablespoon a day. Children — one teaspoon a day.

3. Curcumin, quercetin, ferulic acid and ellagic acid as a mixture — the first two must be mixed with extravirgin olive in one teaspoon. Take the mix three times a day (500 mg of each)

4. Vitamin E (natural form) 1200 IU a day (high in gamma-E)

5. Vitamin C 1000 mg four times a day and ones a day Vitamin A 25 000 iU

6. Astaxanthin 4 mg a day

7. Zinc 20 mg a day for one week then 5 mg a day

8. Avoid all immune stimulating supplements (mushroom extracts, whey protein) except beta-glucan — it has been shown to reduce inflammation, microglial activation and has a reduced risk of aggravating autoimmunity, while increasing antiviral cellular immunity.

9. Take a multivitamin/mineral daily (one without iron — Extend Core) Quint Essence

10. Magnesium citrate/malate 500 mg of elemental magnesium two capsules three times a day

If you’re wearing a hat and gloves 24/7, there are things you can do to keep warm besides blasting the heater or wearing wool from head to toe.

How to Stay Warm During the Cold Season

Poor circulation may be one reason why hands and feet get cold, however, it could also be caused by thyroid activity level, kidney and heart disease, anemia, hypertension, high cholesterol, smoking, and poor diet. See your doctor to be sure you do not have a medical condition. Then, try some of these ways to increase your circulation and to stay warm:

  • Eat warming foods such as miso soup, red meat, whole grains, root vegetables, cayenne pepper and ginger; not ice cream or soft drinks.
  • Indulge in heavier foods. Use more oils when sautéing, or dribble some ghee onto your rice or vegetables. Eat cooked rather than raw vegetables and fruit.
  • Drink hot teas containing spices such as cinnamon, ginger, pepper and cardamom.
  • Take hot baths, which are soothing and warm the body through and through.
  • Try acupuncture, which increases circulation by stimulating nerves that relay information to the brain.
  • Practice your favorite stress-reduction technique – meditation, yoga, therapy, laughter, and sex….
  • Keep moving; your body generates heat as a byproduct when it moves. Get your heart rate up with brisk walks, bicycling or other forms of exercise.
  • Use a rebounder or inversion machine to get the blood moving throughout your body. Much of your body heat is circulated via the blood stream, so wiggle those toes and fingers.
  • Open blinds on south-facing windows during the day to let in the sun. Bask in it.
  • Remember the old water bottle? Pour some boiling water into it, wrap it, and sleep with it at night to stay cozy. For extra warmth, try placing the bottle under your armpits or on the inside of your upper thighs. Your arteries are close to the surface of your skin there, and your blood can gain a little extra heat to circulate. 
  • Surprise, surprise – drink plenty of water to keep your machine “well-oiled.” It’s important to keep hydrated, and to use good moisturizing skin products during the cold season as well as the heat of summer. 
  • Mix raw, organic honey with some soothing cardamom pods into a cup of hot, boiled milk; light some lovely, natural scented candles; relax and enjoy the warmth.
  • Flannel sheets and a thick down comforter make night time extra warm and inviting to snuggle into on even the coldest of nights!

If your house is just too cold, there are new space heating technologies such as convection heat and radiant heat that are worth looking into. A portable radiator-type oil heater uses a lot of power, but not nearly as much as a furnace. Tightening up the house by stopping air leaks, having insulated interior coverings on all windows, putting plastic up on the outside of windows, and putting a “jacket” on the hot water heater, all help. Close the heater vents and shut the doors to unused rooms in your home. Warning: electrical emissions from electric blankets and similar warming devices may be hazardous to your health.

My “Do Nots” of Weight Loss!

I always try and give you the do’s of weight loss, but a lot of people have been asking me, “Kevin, I know the DO’s, but what are the DO NOT’s?”

• Do not eat after 6 p.m.
Do the best you can on this, however, the good news is you can virtually eat like a pig all day long, and if you stop eating after six you will still lose weight!

• Absolutely NO aspartame or any artifical sweeteners
Aspartame, which goes by the name NutraSweet, will make you fat. All other artificial sweeteners including saccharin, Splenda, or anything else, should be avoided.

• Absolutely NO Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)
MSG is an excitotoxin. It makes you fat, causes all kinds of medical problems, and can affect your mood making you depressed. It also can be physically addicting, like Aspartame, and actually make you hungrier.

• Absolutely NO diet sodas or diet food
Diet sodas have been called the “new crack” because they appear to be so physically addicting. They actually make you fat. The reason they are promoted so heavily is because people become physically addicted to them and they are cheaper to make than regular sodas.

• NO fast food or chain restaurants
Any restaurant that is a chain, a franchise that sells fast food, produces their food in such a way that it will absolutely make you fat. You can actually eat french fries and cheeseburgers and lose weight, provided that the ingredients that you use are all organic and contain no chemical additives. It is virtually impossible to eat food in a chain or franchise restaurant where the food has not been processed to last for years without spoiling. The food has to be produced as cheaply as possible for the companies to make money. They must add chemicals to make the food taste great and get you physically addicted. This food also has been produced to increase your appetite and make you fatter. Remember, these are businesses whose only objective is to make a profit. If the food tastes amazing, becomes physically addicting, increases your appetite, and makes you fat, the restaurant is assured of success. They are like drug dealers getting their customers hooked on their product.

• NO high fructose corn syrup
This sweetener makes you fat and is physically addictive. Just stop buying food at the supermarket, go to a health food store instead. Do not buy food that is manufactured by large publicly traded companies. Do not buy brand name food. The profit motive is so high you can be assured that it is not good for you. The sweeteners that are used in food produced in a natural way include organic honey, organic molasses, organic fruit juice, organic dates, the herb stevia, evaporated sugar cane juice. Simply read the labels and if you can’t pronounce it, don’t buy it.

• NO white sugar or white flour
White sugar is in fact physically addicting and makes you fat. White flour, as I have mentioned previously, when mixed with water, makes paste. Eating white flour makes you fat; it can also be addicting, and clogs up your digestive system, slowing down your metabolism. Use organic whole-grain flours that have not been processed or stripped of the fiber.

• Limit dairy products
If you are going to consume milk, cheese, butter, or any dairy products, eat only organic products that have not been pasteurized or homogenized. The dairy products should be labeled “organic and raw.” It may be hard to find raw dairy products in some parts of the country. The next best option is organic, not homogenized, but that has been pasteurized. Your last option is organic that has been both pasteurized and homogenized. Ideally, if you want to lose weight, reduce dairy regardless of what you are getting. Definitely, absolutely, do not consume any dairy products that are not organic because they will have growth hormone in them and slow your weight loss.

• Reduce or eliminate the “uncontrollable” urge to eat when you are not hungry
Remember, censorship is alive and well in America. The Federal Trade commission has forbidden me from saying my opinions on how a person can eliminate addictions and uncontrollable urges to eat. And you thought there was free speech in America. If the First Amendment were true, I would be able to state my opinions and conclusions. I cannot. You requested it so here it is!  Controversial Talk Show host, Erich “Mancow” Muller was on my show asking some of the same health questions you may be having…..

Health Q&A session

Mancow: Is a glass of red wine every night a good thing?
Kevin: Yes!

M: I worked at a pool store and noticed that none of the owners would swim in pools but they would swim in lakes. Why is chlorine bad for you?
K: Ok, just have a sip and tell me. Seriously, it’s got skull and bones all over the chlorine. It kills! Have a glass of chlorine and then ask me again.

M: If you and I went out to eat and I ordered oysters, you wouldn’t eat any. Why?
K: Shellfish absorb all the toxins in the water. More people are allergic to shellfish, more people get sick from shellfish, and more people die from shellfish than any other food in the planet. It’s very toxic.

M: I have some oxygen drops and I put 8 in my water everyday. Is this a scam or is this the real deal?
K: Some products are better then others. I recommend 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. You put that in water and drink it and it helps oxygenate.

M: Because cancer can’t live in an oxygen rich environment. Is that the idea?
K: Cancer and viruses can not live in an oxygen rich environment. Right now, with all the flus going around and sickness which is caused by vitamin and mineral deficiency, the oxygen is very helpful.

M: Is sugar food for cancer?
K: Yes, but not sugar from fruit. If you eat an orange you are eating ‘a lot of sugar’. If you eat corn on the cob, provided its not genetically mortified corn, you’re also getting a lot of sugar. Cane sugar is fine. You and I can go up to Chicago to the Vietnamese area and have cane juice, where they take sugar cane and put it in what looks like a wood chipper and drink that. That’s not going to feed cancer. What does feed cancer is the crack cocaine of sugar, which is white sugar. That’s the crack cocaine of sugar but raw, evaporated cane juice is perfectly fine. High fructose corn syrup also feeds cancer.  [One Minute Cure]

M: You’ve lost weight. Are you using pregnant lady urine?
K: No, that’s a misnomer. Dr. Simeons in 1959 discovered this and found that people that are obese have a very high appetite; very intense, physical appetite. They have low metabolism and they store fat abnormally. They also have food cravings. That’s caused by a hypothalamus gland that operates abnormally. The cure, I describe in my book, The Weight Loss Cure “They” Don’t Want You to Know About, millions of people have used this and even the Federal Trade Commission can’t deny it. This is the fastest way to lose fat. Period. There’s nothing faster. You can lose 1 pound per day, which some people lose up to 10 pounds in the first 24 hrs! It’s a compound called HCG, which is the hormone that pregnant women produce.

M: So, how do I find this Kevin?
K: There are clinics everywhere. You go to a medical doctor and he’ll write you a prescription. You can do the injection right at home.

M: Kevin, it’s not possible for a human being to lose 10 pounds in 24 hrs.
K: Hundreds and thousands of people, since 1959, in medical, supervised, clinical studies lose a pound a day. Period.

M: But you said 10 pounds in 24 hours.
K: Up to 10 pounds in the first 24 hours.

M: Why do you have a bean on the back of your phone? What was that?
K: Cell phones cause radiation and categorically 100% will give you brain tumors. So, if you have a cell phone, even if your not talking on it and it is turned on, you’re zapping your body with radiation. If you’re on your cell phone and you notice your ear getting hot, that means you’re microwaving your brain from the inside!

M: It’s happening to me now and I’m not kidding!
K: Seriously, you are microwaving your brain. Remember Johnnie Cochran? He had a phone glued to his ear and he died of a brain tumor. I’ve got friends at the Mayo Clinic and they tell me, secretly, that the number of brain tumors is up ten thousand percent. When the researchers are looking at them, they’re on the side of the head where the cell phone is used the most and they’re in various shapes, which mimic the shape of the antenna in the cell phone.

M: I’ve heard that as well. Listen I’m a big believer in fish oil. I’m I on the right path?
K: It depends on the brand. You can’t go to CVS or Walgreen’s and get off the shelf Omega 3 fish oils. They’re rancid and are no good. There are only a few brands out there and they are very very helpful in lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol, reducing chances of heart attacks and even reducing depression. So, they are excellent.

M: Kevin, we were at this big event, and people were coming up and shaking your hand and my mom offered us this hand sanitizer. I use it, everybody else used it, but you didn’t. What’s your problem with hand sanitizer? Isn’t it good to make your hands clean?
K: No, it’s a poison! Look at the ingredients. You’ve got propyleenglycol, which comes from petroleum and it’s a poison that kills bacteria. There’s nothing wrong with having bacteria. It’s good for your body. It’s natural. Bacteria and viruses in the environment are natural. Your body is designed to interact with natural bacteria and natural viruses. Your body responds to it. It’s the natural flow, but when you start putting poisons and toxins on your skin, which are then absorbed in your skin, it shuts down your natural ability to fight off illness and disease. It suppresses your immune system and gives you another toxin in your body which causes disease!

M: I read an article talking about beating the swine flu and I’ve been doing about 5,000 IU’s of vitamin D a day because I can’t drink milk. Is that a good thing? Am I taking too much? Not enough?
K: Vitamin D is good. There are some brands that are better then others, but most vitamin D are in the range of being pretty darn good. Vitamin D3 is excellent and absolutely 100% is one of the key elements in preventing flus, colds and viruses.

M: And green tea. Are you a believer in green tea? My wife is a big green tea person.
K: Green tea is excellent, but here’s the real key; you really don’t need to be taking something every single day. I mean vitamins you do, but something like a green tea I drink it on occasion, but it’s not like “oh, I have to have my green tea today!”

M: I have a doctor tell me one time, ‘A glass of water is just as good in the morning as a cup of coffee,” and to me that’s B.S. Coffee wakes me up. You drink coffee, Kevin. I’ve seen you drink you coffee. Is it bad?
K: No. It’s got caffeine. A little bit of caffeine is perfectly fine. The key with coffee is that you want to use filtered water, organic coffee beans so that you don’t get the toxins and that you don’t drink a gallon a day because the access caffeine will shut down the adrenals and give you adrenal fatigue.

M: My father lead the fight in America against fluoride. He felt it was poison. Let me tell you something, my brothers and I never used fluoride and we have had so many dental problems. To some extent I curse my father because I’ve had so much dental work done due to the fact that we never had fluoride. He forbid it.
K: So, you’re saying that you didn’t have fluoride therefore that must be the cause of your dental problems?

M: I’m saying that every kid in my neighborhood that got water and got the fluoride treatments at the dentist didn’t get a cavity. Now come on, Kevin!
K: Hold on. Now there’s a difference between drinking water with fluoride and putting fluoride on the teeth. There’s a huge difference.

M: But isn’t that the way they sold fluoride to us? That it was fluoride in the water that would help our teeth and our bones?
K: Well, the way they sold it to us was originally fluoride was painted on the teeth. You got a fluoride treatment when you went into the dentist and you got fluoride put on the teeth. Then they put fluoride in toothpaste, but fluoride is a by-product of a superphosphate fertilizer and it’s so toxic. Do you know it’s at the same level as nuclear toxic waste? So, the producers of superphosphate fertilizer had nuclear, toxic waste they couldn’t get rid of. They lobbied the government and convinced the government to dump it in the water supply. That’s why it’s in the water. Painted on teeth is good for teeth but not drinking it. Big difference!   [Ewater Filter]

M: You told me that you don’t have a microwave. You make that beautiful wife of yours warm everything up in what a traditional oven? You really don’t have a microwave? I can’t imagine living without a microwave.
K: I would never in a million years use a microwave oven. Not even to boil water. Don’t use it. It changes the whole molecular structure of the food. There was a study that was conducted and it was buried, but we have all the original documents. The U.S Army took two battle battalions; one that was given conventionally heated foods for 30 days, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the food was prepared in on the field conventional heating units. The other group in the field used produced microwave units. They wanted to see how it was going to affect the ease of cooking and preparation of meals in a battlefield environment. They stopped after 10 days because the group that was eating 3 meals a day out of the microwave were all too sick. So, go eat 3 microwaved meals a day for a week and let me know how you feel. You’ll be violently ill. Your immune system is magically suppressed. And researchers have taken blood and it shows that the white and red blood cell counts dramatically crash. Also, the liver goes into toxic shock! It looks like you’re dying.

M: Why is infertility in America at record levels?
K: In America, we have the highest rate of infertility than ever before and it is not one thing, it’s a combination of things. This includes; microwave food, high fructose corn syrup, genetically modified food, the 22 pharmaceutical drugs found in the water, the chlorine in the water, fluoride in the water, the stress from laptop computers and all these other electronic devices, nutritional deficiency, and mineral deficiency. People forget today that the food that we’re eating, even if it’s organic, comes from same soil, which has no minerals anymore. The food in America has vertically no minerals in it and mineral deficiencies are the base nutritional deficiency for every disease. You take an apple, a carrot, of a piece of celery or a piece of lettuce grown in European soil, it has up to 10 times more nutritional content and mineral content than that in America!  [Mercola Supplements]
