In the current state of the US economy it’s getting tougher and tougher to find a job. With an unemployment rate of 8.3 percent, according to the latest job numbers, saying yes to a job is a no brainer.
Now imagine in order to get the job you must disclose your Facebook password.
On Tuesday night, House Republicans stopped a measure that would have allowed the Federal Communications Commission to prevent employers from forcing potential employees to disclose their Facebook passwords.
Republicans who are against “big government,” have delivered a huge blow to the legislation that was presented by Democrats.
The purpose of the legislation was part of a bill to implement new restrictions on the FCC rules after a series of cases where employers have requested access to social media accounts.
“What this amendment does is it says you cannot demand as a condition of employment that somebody reveal a confidential password to their Facebook, to their Flickr, to their Twitter, whatever their account may be,” said Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D- Colo.).
According to a post by Facebook, the company has “seen a distressing increase in reports of employers or others seeking to gain inappropriate access to people’s Facebook profiles or private information.”
The social media giant added that the practice “undermines the privacy expectations and the security of both the user and users’ friends.”
According to WANE.com, Anthony Juliano has been keeping a close watch on the growing trend. Juliano, a social media expert said, “it’s really not new, but it’s getting people’s attention because it is controversial,” he said.
Juliano also added that he directly hasn’t heard of a case, but has confirmed the practice is more common in trades such as law enforcement.

Much of the alternative news and the establishment political right has speculated that Andrew Breitbart’s untimely death may have something to do with his opposition to Obama. Some have even suggested that he was murdered to keep compromising tapes of Obama from surfacing. But, at worst, these tapes will prove Obama was a radical left political activist in his youth.
How is this news to anyone? And what purpose does it serve; to get Romney in the White House?
Understandably, it’s a juicy story for conspiracy researchers and for those who oppose Obama. However, Breitbart was a partisan neocon who claimed to be against “Big Government” while promoting preemptive wars and supporting the mythical war on terror. He seemed to be genuine in his bitter partisanship, but he was a poster child for perpetuating the false left-right paradigm.
Now that the tapes are being released by the Breitbart team, they will no doubt take over the news cycle at Fox and other right-wing news outlets. It will be endlessly discussed if Obama was a radical ideologue who hung out with “domestic terrorists” in his youth, or if he was even eligible to be president in the first place with renewed “birther” accusations. It will supposedly be the vetting process that never took place before the 2008 election.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when I write about insanely stupid government policies. But I know I get more motivated to fight big government.
How can anyone want to give more money and power to politicians, for instance, after reading these comparisons of dumb government policy in the United States and United Kingdom? Or how can anyone think it’s a good idea to expand the public sector after reading these examples of bureaucratic incompetence?
But now I’ve come across something even more amazing, a story of government stupidity that trumps these other examples. And this is not satire. It is not from The Onion.
Believe it or not, the Greek government has decided that pedophiles are “disabled” and therefore deserve money from the government.

Trio of Los Angeles Raw Food Advocates Reportedly Charged With Raw Milk Conspiracy

The raid on Rawesome Foods by a combined force of agents from the FDA, LA County Dept of Agriculture, CDC and the LA County Sheriff’s office wasn’t the only SWAT-style armed raid that took place today. Sharon Palmer, a mom and owner of Healthy Family Farms was also arrested and taken to jail. A third woman, Victoria Bloch, the LA County liaison for the Weston A Price Foundation (www.WestonaPrice.org) , was also reportedly arrested, NaturalNews has learned.
Sharon Palmer is being charged with “mislabeling cheese,” NaturalNews has learned. (Yes, mislabeling cheese! This earns you an armed raid in America today, even while the real crooks in Washington run free…) This is on top of the conspiracy charge which has been leveled against all three (James, Sharon and Victoria).
Victoria Bloch is being charged with conspiracy under Section 182A of the California penal code, which states that that law applies “If two or more persons conspire to commit any crime.”
As NaturalNews previously reported, the SWAT-style raid was conducted like a terrorist operation, where the cops immediately went after Rawesome’s cash and then began vandalizing and destroying the store’s entire inventory. This raid was an act of economic terrorism against a legitimate, ethical business selling wholesome, healthful products to a very happy group of members.
A massive public protest on the front steps of the LA courthouse is being planned for the morning of August 4th, where James Stewart has been promised a hearing before a judge. Government Agents Violate Search Guidelines in Rawesome Foods Raid

The recent act of government-sponsored terrorism against Rawesome Foods in Venice, California was authorized by a woman named Michelle LeCavalier. She signed the warrant which stated that she believed there was property at Rawesome Foods that was “used as the means of committing a felony.” (What, the raw cheese? Did someone cut the cheese and cause a silent-but-deadly felony nuisance?)
The warrant goes on to state that the law enforcement agents should search “all rooms, attics, refrigerators, freezers… purses, wallets, briefcases and vehicles of both James Stewart (Rawesome Foods) and Sharon Palmer (Healthy Family Farms).”
The warrant also grants them the permission to inspect, copy and even seize all computer files, video camera files, audio recording files and all the data of all computers.
Additional items to be seized, as described in the warrant, include:
• Any evidence of “interstate transportation” (so they can charge these people with felony FEDERAL crimes).
• All membership agreements of their current members (customers); this way they can intimidate customers, too.
• Documents concerning the Right To Choose Healthy Foods (RTCHF) organization, which fights for food freedom at www.RawMilk.org (the government is going after these advocacy groups, too, with their terrorist tactics).
• All tax records (so they can try to find some tax error and then charge them with federal tax fraud).
• All real estate transactions, billing records, purchasing records and club records.
• All emails, receipts, cash register data, credit cards receipts, inventory records and so on.
• All computers and electronic devices. The warrant shows that government terrorists stole both Dell and Apple computers from Rawesome.
• All address books, telephone numbers, contacts, client lists, business cards, etc. This is so the government terrorists can contact Rawesome Foods customers and then conduct illegal raids on their homes for buying “contraband” raw milk.

Government terrorists destroy entire Rawesome Foods inventory
The warrant also states that “various samples of any food products present may be taken for laboratory analysis.” But this, of course, is not what happened at all. Instead of taking a few samples, the government terrorists from the LA County Dept. of Agriculture poured all the milk down the drain, then stole all the vegetables, fruits, cheese and eggs and loaded them up into a truck and drove away, leaving Rawesome Foods completely empty.
In other words, they stole or destroyed the ENTIRE INVENTORY of Rawesome Foods! (We have photos to prove this and will be posted them soon…)
They also made off with over $4,500 in cash belonging to the owner James Stewart.
This destruction, of course, was an act of terrorism, not the carrying out of a search warrant. This is why I am accurately referring to these people as government-sponsored terrorists.
The signatures of the Property Clerk, Agent and Supervisor on the warrant are all completely illegible, obscuring their names (government terrorists don’t want to be identified by name, so they make sure their names are unreadable).
The only name legible on the warrant is Michelle LeCavalier, whose office failed to return our repeated phone calls. (We spoke with the public affairs department and asked for a return call to get a statement. No return call has yet been received.)
Who is Michelle LeCavalier?
I want to know who this state employee is and why she is engaged in authorizing acts of terrorism against innocent citizens of California. Attempts to find out more about LeCavalier have so far failed, although NaturalNews has confirmed that she is a California state employee who worked under the Dept. of Health at one point.
If you have any information about Michelle LeCavalier, or a link to an online photo of her, please let us know. This woman needs to be held accountable for her role in authorizing acts of government terrorism against the People.
A government out of control
What this Rawesome Foods raid demonstrates is the depths of the evil of Big Government and its incessant desire to enslave the people by denying them their natural born rights. We are watching a criminal, terrorist government engage in acts of war against innocent small business owners who are serving an important public interest by providing health-enhancing, wholesome and non-processed foods to members of the public. This is a service that should be lauded, not targeted for termination.
This combination of government thugs from both California and the federal government have maliciously carried out the following crimes:
• The KIDNAPPING of James Stewart and Sharon Palmer.
• The THEFT of cash from Rawesome Foods.
• The DESTRUCTION of private property by destroying all the raw food products at Rawesome Foods.
• The HACKING of computers and electronic devices found at Rawesome Foods.
• The CONSPIRACY to commit the above acts, of which Michelle LaCavalier is perhaps the most guilty.
And why did the government commit these heinous crimes against innocent people? Did Rawesome Foods harm anyone? Nope.
Did any customers complain about Rawesome Foods? Not at all. Customers LOVE the place!
Did Rawesome Foods place public health at risk in any way? Certainly not. Raw milk is healthier than dead, processed, pasteurized milk.
So WHY did the government decide to target this business for its planned acts of terrorism designed to destroy its business operations and imprison its owners? Because the government wants to take away your access to real food!
Just as the FDA is now trying to take away your access to nutritional supplements through its new NDI regulations.
Big Government actively seeks to destroy health and freedom
Under the leadership of President Obama, you see, the U.S. government is now in the business of destroying public health, unleashing genetically modified organisms across the country and denying your right to choose your own food or medicine!
Julie Bass, the Michigan gardener, was recently threatened with 93 days of jail for growing tomatoes in her own front yard.
A farmer in Missouri, Armand Bechard, has been threatened by authorities there for selling raw milk.
Amish farmers have been threatened multiple times for producing raw milk on their own family farms.
What’s clear from this pattern is that our government is out of control and a serious threat to food freedom in America. If we don’t reign in this runaway rogue government, we are all going to end up as junk food mind slaves with no freedoms at all (and no health, either).
I’m surprised these goons in California even bothered with a warrant. Why not just throw the Fourth Amendment out the window and raid the store without a warrant? It’s all lawless and criminal anyway. The fabricated warrant only serves to slap the illusion of “right” on a document that’s being used by a criminal government to terrorize small business owners and drive honest folks out of business.

Seven Startling Things Most People Still Don’t Know About The National Debt, Banking And The Money Supply

Most people, even smart people, know surprisingly little about the way money really works in Big Government. With the debt ceiling fiasco suddenly raising awareness of the possibility of a total global financial blowout, now seems like a good time to remind people of seven disturbing facts about money that are almost never acknowledge in the old media.
Fact #1 – There is no FDIC insurance fund.
The money at your bank is insured against loss by the FDIC’s insurance fund, right? Nope. That’s total fiction. There is no actual money in the fund. The FDIC insurance money has already been looted by the U.S. Treasury which has simply replaced the money with a bunch of IOUs.
Why does this matter? Because it means that if the U.S. government goes into default, so will the FDIC! And that means all your bank funds have zero insurance. That’s gonna be a big shock for tens of millions of people when they finally figure this out one day…
Fact #2 – There are no social security funds, either.
When you pay social security taxes, all that money goes into a trust fund that’s held for safekeeping until the day it pays you back, right?
Ha! That’s the “sucker’s view” of social security that only ignorant people believe. In reality, there is no money in the social security trust fund because it too has all been looted by the U.S. Treasury and spent. In truth, social security is already broke. Can’t wait for people to wake up and figure this one out, either…
Fact #3 – The U.S. Treasury is stealing money from you every day, even if you pay no taxes!
Here’s a mind-boggling truth that most people just can’t seem to get their heads around: The U.S. Treasury is stealing money from you every single day by the simple fact that they keep creating new money and handing it out to wealthy banksters. Well, technically this is being done by the Federal Reserve, which isn’t even part of the federal government. But it’s all done in cahoots with the Treasury, which is eroding the value of your money through these money creation and distribution actions.
That’s why prices keep going up all around you, folks: Food isn’t suddenly worth more money; the truth is that your money is worth less! That’s how the Treasury and the Federal Reserve steal from you without even breaking into your home.
Probably 99.9% of the population has no understanding of this phenomenon — the erosion of currency valuation through the centralized government printing of more currency. And yet it is a government scam that has been carried out against citizens of the world time and time again, spanning millennia! As history has clearly shown, every nation that goes down the path of printing more currency to pay its bills eventually ends up in a runaway hyperinflation scenario followed by economic collapse. The USA will be no different.
Fact #4 – The “balanced solution” isn’t balanced.
Don’t you love the quirky White House Press Secretary who keeps spewing out the phrase “balanced solution” even while the debt deal leaves the U.S. budget entirely unbalanced?
When you’re spending more money than you’re earning, that’s not financial balance. When the White House says “balanced” what it really means is “compromised” — as in, half way between the Republican position (spend us into purgatory) and the Democratic position (spend us into oblivion). Neither party has any real solution to the cancerous growth of Big Government. That’s because they are creatures of Big Government!
Politicians can no more solve the problems of Big Government than arsonists can solve the problem of office fires. Because they are, themselves, creatures of runaway debt spending (how else do you get elected these days?), they simply do not possess the cognitive framework from which real financial solutions must stem.
Fact #5 – The government is going to steal everything from you before it collapses
Oh my, this is a tough one for people to get their heads around… especially those who naively trust governments to act in the interests of the People. The simple truth of the matter — and I’ve publicly made this prediction before — is that the government is going to STEAL almost everything you own as it heads toward a total financial implosion. This will include:
• The government theft of private retirement accounts. The feds will claim they’re taking them over “for your protection.” Yeah, right. And then one day they will simply all vanish. Kiss your IRA goodbye…
• The government theft of precious metals. Within the next 3 years, watch for a national emergency to be declared, followed by government confiscation of gold and silver. The feds will take your gold and hand you paper money in exchange. The paper money, of course, will be all but worthless shortly thereafter. Only the suckers, of course, will actually turn in their metals…
• Government takeover of your bank accounts. As banks begin to fail in the big collapse, the government will step in and take ownership of the failed institutions, just as it did with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (which used to be publicly-owned companies but are now largely just government finance operations). This will put your bank accounts under the direct control of the White House, which can use executive orders to do things like banning all wire transfers out of the country or limiting daily withdrawals and transfers. Sure, you’ll still “own” your money in the bank, you just won’t be able to freely access it!
Fact #6 – Most people have no idea about fractional reserve banking, derivatives, the money supply or the Federal Reserve
It’s not just that most people don’t understand banking and finance; it’s that even members of Congress have no idea how all this works. With few exceptions (like Ron Paul), they’re just clueless!
Get this: Even most bankers don’t even know how fractional reserve banking really works. They don’t understand derivatives, either, which is why they screwed them up so badly in the housing boom that crashed in 2007. And because bankers, investors and bureaucrats have no idea how it all works, they unwittingly turn it all into a runaway catastrophe.
Allowing ignorant adults to play with debt and derivatives is like letting infants play with nuclear weapons. It can only lead to something messy.
Fact #7 – Most people are betting their lives on the dollar
People buy insurance for their cars, their homes and even their health. But when it comes to money, 99 out of 100 people in America are betting their entire financial existence on the U.S. dollar! They get their paychecks in dollars, their savings accounts are in dollars, and all their assets are denominated in dollars. As a result, they have no diversity to protect them against dollar devaluation.
That’s kinda crazy, considering just how quickly the dollar could collapse in the near future and become totally worthless. That’s why smart people are diversifying their assets and converting dollars into land, gold, silver or even storable food. Here in central Texas, even ammunition has a long-term barter value that far exceeds dollars.
Looking around at the financial behaviors of others, I’m just stunned at how many people are betting everything on the dollar because they never realized they had any other option (that’s the way the government likes to keep it, of course!).
