The holiday season is finally coming to an end and that means the excuses have to end, as well. It’s time to get into the habit of truly taking care of yourself. Lucky, you have me to guide you. Here are my top 12 ways to stay healthy all year long. I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me!

See Natural Healthcare Providers on a Regular Basis

When you have a car that you love and cherish, you keep it clean on the inside and out. You do not wait for the car to make funny noises or stop running; you instead bring the car in on a regular basis for maintenance. This regular maintenance is designed to prevent any problems from occurring. Your body should be treated in a similar fashion. You should be seeing various natural healthcare providers from a variety of disciplines, even when you don’t experience symptoms. Seeing more than one person is valuable so that all bases are covered.

Use Aromatherapy

Smells have a powerful effect on our body. Certain smells evoke chemical reactions in the body. Essential oils have many health benefits besides giving a wonderfully pleasant aroma.

Energetic Rebalancing

Frequency generators have been around for decades. When the frequency of the disease you have has been neutralized, the disease goes away. I personally have been using this technology for the last seven years and I have never in that time been sick. I highly recommend Stephen Lewis’s AIM Program or Mony Vital’s Vital Balancing program. Those are the programs I’ve used for Energetic Rebalancing.

Check Your Body pH

Dr. Morter discovered a specific technique for testing the pH of your saliva and urine. You can do this test with a simple piece of pH paper. It takes less than five minutes. Do this test once a week or as often as you like. If your body pH is too acidic, you know you need to do some things to correct the out of balance state. If your body pH is in the proper alkaline state, you know that the chance of you getting cancer or other diseases is almost zero. This is a great way for you to see firsthand how these various techniques are benefiting you.

Do a Candida Elimination Program

Candida overgrowth is one of the biggest problems in every single person’s life. Do The McCombs Plan to eliminate Candida.

Do Alphabiotics

Alphabiotics is a very powerful treatment that dramatically reduces stress in the body, makes one think clearer, and dramatically reduces muscle tension and pain. It is excellent for increasing energy flow throughout the body and keeping the body’s posture correct.

Do A Cleanse

Get the toxins out by doing a cleanse!

Buy a Shower Filter

You absorb more toxins by taking one shower than by drinking six glasses of water. Your skin absorbs the water from your shower or bath. A hot shower produces steam and turns many of the chemicals in the water into poisonous gases. These gases are inhaled or absorbed through the skin. A good shower filter removes most of the toxins in the water. Use one and you’ll rarely have a bad hair day again.

Get a Chiropractic Adjustment

Every chiropractor uses slightly different techniques. Some are great, some are good, and some not so good. If you have never gotten a chiropractic adjustment, you need one. Because of our lifestyle, our spines get misaligned. Realigning the spine allows energy to flow throughout the entire body. I personally see a chiropractor at least once a month for a tune-up.

Get Something to Neutralize Electromagnetic Chaos

We are being bombarded by electromagnetic energy from hundreds of sources, including satellites, high-tension power lines, computers, cell phones, global positioning systems in our cars, wireless telephones, remote controls, high-definition TVs, etc. We cannot eliminate the electromagnetic energy around us, we can only do things to neutralize the negative effects. Fred Van Liew sells what I believe to be the best product out there to neutralize these negative energies.

See a Herbalist

Like all healthcare practitioners there are individuals that are excellent and whose therapy will give you tremendous, vast and profound results. Seeing a highly-recommended herbalist allows you to be treated in a natural way where you avoid the dangers of drugs.

Get an Air Purifier

The air in your house is most assuredly not pure and clean. You live, work, and sleep in an environment where the air is flat out unhealthy. I absolutely recommend an air purifier for your home, your work space and, most importantly, your bedroom. Since you are breathing all night long, it would be a good idea to be breathing the cleanest, purest air you can. Your work space is the second most important.

AND remember to tune into the 24/7 stream of my radio show for even more tips on how to improve your life!

Monsanto’s Infertility-Linked Roundup Found in All Urine Samples Tested

By Mike Barrett

“No wonder why Monsanto keeps getting the labeled as the most evil company in the world.” –KTRN

A recent study conducted by a German university found very high concentrations of Glyphosate, a carcinogenic chemical found in herbicides like Monsanto’s Roundup, in all urine samples tested. The amount of glyphosate found in the urine was staggering, with each sample containing concentrations at 5 to 20-fold the limit established for drinking water. This is just one more piece of evidence that herbicides are, at the very least, being sprayed out of control.

This news comes only one month after it was found that glyphosate, contained in Monsanto’s Roundup, is contaminating the groundwater in the areas in which it is used. What does this mean? It means that toxic glyphosate is now polluting the world’s drinking water through the widespread contamination of aquifers, wells and springs. The recent reports of glyphosate showing up in all urine samples only enhances these past findings.

Monsanto continues to make the claim that their Roundup products are completely safe for both animals and humans. However many environmentalists, scientists , activists, and even doctors say otherwise. Glyphosate radically affects the metabolism of plants in a negative way. It is a systemic poison preventing the formation of essential amino acids, leading to weakened plants which ultimately die from it.

A formula seems to have been made to not only ruin the agricultural system, but also compromise the health of millions of people worldwide. With the invent of Monsanto’s Roundup Ready crops, resistant superweeds are taking over farmland and public health is being attacked. As it turns out, glyphosate is also leaving behind its residue on Roundup Ready crops, causing further potential concern for public health. Glyphosate is even contributing to escalating rates of mental illness and obesity through the depletion of beneficial gut flora that directly regulates these functions. But it certainly doesn’t stop there.

Can Less Salt Mean More Heart Attacks?

By: Alice Park

The government’s recent Dietary Guidelines for Americans had some familiar recommendations for health: eat more fruits and vegetables, exercise more and lower the amount of salt you eat.

Now a new study from Europe challenges that last piece of advice by suggesting that reducing dietary salt may not benefit your heart health after all. Previous studies have shown that people with high blood pressure can lower their risk of developing hypertension and heart disease by eating less salt. But in the new study, people who had the most salt in their diets actually had the lowest risk of dying from heart disease.

Yes, that’s right. The study involved 3,681 people without heart problems, most of whom also had normal blood pressure. Reporting in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the researchers found that those with the highest levels of sodium in their urine (the most accurate way to measure how much salt a person consumes) were more than four times less likely to die from heart disease than those with the lowest intake of sodium. During the nearly eight years of follow up, the heart-related death rate was 0.8% among those with the highest sodium levels and 4% among those with the lowest levels.

“Yes, the findings surprised me and those of us at the American Heart Association (AHA),” says Dr. Ralph Sacco, president of the AHA and chairman of neurology at University of Miami. The AHA is hoping to get Americans to lower their sodium intake to 1,500 mg per day by 2020, far below the 2,300 mg daily maximum that the U.S. Department of Agriculture now advises.

“We have to remember that many people are at high risk for high blood pressure,” says Sacco. “And when we start going up in age, the proportion of people with high blood pressure approaches 70% to 80% or more, so your lifetime risk of high blood pressure is exceedingly high.”

Salt can play a role in blood pressure, and the current study confirmed this, finding that the systolic pressure (the upper number in the blood pressure reading) was slightly higher among those consuming the most salt, compared with those consuming the least. Even so, those people were at no higher risk of developing hypertension.

The current study fuels the brewing debate over whether low-salt standards should apply equally to everyone. Some experts suggest that certain people may be more sensitive to salt than others, or that people with normal blood pressure may not benefit from lowering their sodium intake. Most of the gold-standard studies on salt — in which people are randomly assigned to consume diets high or low in sodium — have involved people who either have hypertension or are at high risk of developing it. Based on that data, scientists just assumed that the same low-salt principle would benefit people at lower risk as well.

But as one of the study authors, Dr. Jan Staessen, professor of medicine at University of Leuven in Belgium, told JAMA in a Q&A, “If you decrease sodium intake a lot, you activate some of the systems that conserve sodium and they are known to have a negative influence on cardiovascular outcomes.” While it’s not know if this is indeed the reason for the contrary findings, it could explain why lower sodium levels were linked to greater heart problems in the trial.

Still, Sacco, as well as the authors, acknowledge that there might be other reasons for the surprising results. First, the study population was relatively young on the whole (participants’ ages ranged from 20 to over 60), and therefore at lower risk of hypertension than an older population. The impact that sodium can have on the heart may differ depending on age.

Second, the scientists took only one urinary sodium reading over a 24-hour period from each participant, and such readings can vary; an average of several measurements might have more accurately captured the participants’ true sodium intake.

And, finally, given the young age of the volunteers, an eight-year follow up may not have been long enough to capture the full risk of heart events or death from heart attacks, which tend to occur in advanced middle age and later.

It appears that the question about how salt affects heart risk is a complicated one. There is certainly strong and undisputed evidence that people with high blood pressure can lower their readings by reducing their salt intake. So it would stand to reason that the same applies to healthy people with normal blood pressure — even if there isn’t the gold-standard scientific evidence to support that.

Of course, dropping blood pressure too low comes with its own health risks — dizziness, fainting and even shock — but most U.S. adults aren’t at risk of hypotension. Sacco points out also that because high blood pressure is associated with both age and obesity, there’s good reason for large swaths of the American public to hold off on the sodium.

“Our population is aging, and more and more people are obese, and less physically active, so we felt that [the AHA's] recommendation for all Americans to lower their salt intake is important because a large proportion of Americans are intermediate to high risk for developing high blood pressure,” he says. “One study should not change all the other great evidence out there that says we should be lowering sodium. Lowering blood pressure even by a few millimeters can have an impact over a lifetime. So don’t reach for that salt shaker.”

Study Pushes Dangerous Drug As Urinary Infection Cure, But Cranberries Work Better

By: S.L. Baker

A just published study emphasizes that the super strong Big Pharma antibiotic combo trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (dubbed TMP-SMX, for short, and marketed as Bactrim, Bethaprim, Cotrim and Septra) appears to be more effective for repeated urinary tract infections (UTIs) than the time proven natural remedy of cranberries.

This research headed by Marielle A.J. Beerepoot, M.D., from the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam might sound like great news for women who need help to beat UTIs. After all, these infections cause a host of unpleasant symptoms including burning on urination and pelvic pain. But when you take a closer look at what the research actually shows, the phrase “junk science” comes to mind. Cranberry extract fights urinary tract infections and, what’s more, the drug that is being hyped as superior is actually loaded with dangers.

Background information in the journal article noted that UTIs are common in women, affecting nearly 50 percent at some point in their lives; up to 30 percent of women develop urinary tract infections that recur over and over.

Mainstream medical doctors frequently prescribe antibiotics as a preventive measure for UTIs for countless women who don’t even have an infection. “However, this may lead to drug resistance not only of the causative microorganisms but also of the indigenous flora,” the authors wrote.

They pointed out that studies of cranberries and cranberry products can prevent recurrent UTIs. In fact, NaturalNews has reported numerous times about the health benefits of cranberries and how they can specifically treat UTIs.For example, in previous studies, scientists at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) discovered cranberry juice creates what the researchers called an “energy barrier” that has the amazing power to prevent disease-causing microorganisms from starting an infection.

This barrier changes the thermodynamic properties of infection-causing germs in the urinary tract. Simply put, the bacteria are then unable to hook onto cells and cause illness.

The new study, just published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, aimed to directly compare cranberries with TMP-SMX to see which works best for UTIs. The research subjects were 221 premenopausal adult women who had reported at least three symptomatic UTIs in the previous year.

Half took either TMP-SMX (480 mg at night, plus one placebo capsule twice daily) or cranberry capsules (500 mg twice daily, plus one placebo tablet at night) for one year. The scientists checked the participants clinical status once a month and for three months after stopping the study medication by taking urine and feces samples. The research subjects also filled out a questionnaire and submitted urine samples when they experienced urinary tract infection symptoms.

At 12 months, the average number of clinical recurrences was 1.8 in the TMP-SMX group and 4.0 in the cranberry capsules group. Recurrence occurred, on average, after eight months in the drug group and after four months in the cranberry capsules group. So the conclusion, according to the media statement, was that the antibiotic used in this study appeared to be more effective at preventing UTIs than cranberry capsules.

But wait a minute. The cranberry capsules did work against UTIs, even at a fairly low dosage, although they didn’t work as strongly as the drugs. And only capsules of cranberry were used. Isn’t it possible cranberry juice, the whole fruit or a larger dosage would have increased effectiveness? Absolutely.

In fact, in an accompanying commentary, Bill J. Gurley, Ph.D., from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, pointed out that “supplements such as cranberry capsules may not demonstrate optimal efficacy due to issues with poor water solubility and the type of metabolism that occurs.” For example, he explained, cranberry capsules might have a low level of bacteria-fighting chemicals in the dosage used that may have affected the study’s results.

There was also a huge downside to taking TMP-SMX. Turns out, antibiotic resistant rates tripled in the disease-causing germs found in the women who took the drug.

Dr. Gurley noted that just one month into the study, antibiotic resistance for Escherichia coli was higher than 85 percent in the TMP-SMX group but less than 30 percent in the cranberry capsule group. “Such a marked reduction in antibiotic resistance certainly favors the therapeutic potential of cranberry as a natural UTI preventative,” he wrote in the editorial.

Another important point to consider about the new study that supposedly concludes Big Phama’s prescription drug beats the natural alternative: while cranberries are side effect free, not so with the TMP-SMX antibiotic. A few problems you can experience from the drug are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or headache muscle weakness, mental/mood changes, new lump/growth in the neck (goiter), low blood sugar, neck stiffness, seizures, liver damage, lung injury, and vaginal yeast infections.

New Diabetes Drug Linked to Infections and Cancer

By: Jonathan Benson

Tests on a new diabetes drug being developed by drug giants Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca have revealed that the new class of drug may be linked to causing urinary tract and genital infections, and several forms of cancer. Add to that dapagliflozin’s many other known side effects, and the experimental drug fares even worse than metformin, the more-common drug for treating type 2 diabetes.

The two-year study found that out of 5,478 patients treated with dapagliflozin, nine of them developed bladder cancer. Only one patient in the control group of 3,156, on the other hand, developed bladder cancer. Based on these results, a person taking dapagliflozin appears five times more likely to develop bladder cancer than a person not taking the drug.

The results were similar for cases of breast cancer. Nine out of 2,223 women taking dapagliflozin developed breast cancer, while only one of 1,053 in the control group developed breast cancer. These figures point to women taking dapagliflozin being more than four times more likely than women not taking the drug to develop breast cancer.

The way dapagliflozin works is that it blocks glucose from being absorbed into the bloodstream through the kidneys, and instead dispels it directly through the urine. By artificially flooding the urinary tract with excess sugars in this way, the urinary tract and genitals become far more prone to bacterial infections than if the sugar was processed in the normal way, and the negative effects of this were observed in the trials as well.

According to data presented at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), other serious side effects associated with taking dapagliflozin include back pain, influenza, diarrhea, headache, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, renal impairment or failure, and hypoglycemia.

Ultimately, there is no need for diabetics to take dangerous drugs like dapagliflozin and risk complicating their condition with new ones. Reversing and curing diabetes is fully possible, and it can be done safely and naturally without the use of drugs.

Crops Absorb Pharmaceuticals From Sewage Sludge Spread on Farmlands

Natural News

By: David Gutierrez

Agricultural crops can absorb pharmaceuticals found in the water used to irrigate them or the sewage sludge used to fertilize them, according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of Toledo-Ohio and published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

When humans consume pharmaceuticals, active traces of those drugs are excreted in their feces and urine. Modern treatment methods for water and sewage do nothing to remove these biologically active chemicals.

Previous studies have shown that crops grown directly in animal manure can absorb veterinary drugs, and that cabbages grown hydroponically can absorb human drugs. To simulate more natural agricultural conditions, researchers grew soybeans — the second most widely planted crop in the United States — in regular soil. Half the crops were fertilized with solid waste, while the other half were irrigated with chemical-spiked water. In order to simulate the reclaimed sewage or wastewater commonly used in industrial agriculture, the researchers spiked water and waste with the drugs carbamazepine (an anticonvulsant), diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and fluoxetine (Prozac), along with the common antimicrobial chemicals triclosan and triclocarban.

Using mass spectrometry, the researchers then analyzed the plants’ tissues just before flowering and after the production of beans. The plants absorbed carbamazepine, triclocarban and triclosan from both soil and water, although absorption from water was greater. All three chemicals accumulated in root tissues, stems and leaves, while the antimicrobial compounds also accumulated in the beans. Diphenhydramine and fluoxetine accumulated in low concentrations in the roots.

The health effects of this absorption remain unknown, but they could be severe. Triclosan, for example, has been shown to build up in the bodies of humans and other animals.

“Triclosan disrupts hormones, can affect sexual function and fertility, and may foster birth defects,” write Frank Lipman and Mollie Doyle in their book Spent: Revive: Stop Feeling Spent and Feel Great Again.

“If you find those compounds in the plant, what are they going to do to the plants or to animals that eat the plants?” researcher Chenxi Wu asked.

TSA Pat Down Went Too Far, Agency Chief Says

November 22, 2010 by admin

November 22nd, 2010

ABC News

By: Sharyn Alfonsi and Lee Ferran

The beleaguered head of the Transportation Security Administration said today that at least one airport passenger screening went too far when an officer reached inside a traveler’s underwear, and the agency is open to rethinking its current protocols.

An ABC News employee said she was subject to a “demeaning” search at Newark Liberty International Airport Sunday morning.

“The woman who checked me reached her hands inside my underwear and felt her way around,” she said. “It was basically worse than going to the gynecologist. It was embarrassing. It was demeaning. It was inappropriate.”

That search was against protocols and “never” should have happened, TSA Administrator John Pistole told “Good Morning America” today.

“There should never be a situation where that happens,” Pistole said. “The security officers are there to protect the traveling public. There are specific standard operating protocols which they are to follow.”

Pistole, reponding to complaints from passengers, has maintained that the TSA will not change its pat down procedures. But today he said the agency is “open” to changing security procedures.

“The bottom line is, we are always adapting and adjusting prior protocols in view of the intelligence and in view of the latest information we have on how the terrorists are trying to kill our people on planes,” Pistole said. “If that means we need to adjust the procedures, then of course we’re open to that.”

Pistole said the key to travel security is finding the proper balance between protecting against very real threats — such as the failed cargo bomb plot and the current search for two suicide bombers believed to be at large in Germany — and protecting individual privacy, something that some passengers claim invasive pat down procedures have taken away.

In recent days, several passengers have come forward to tell shocking stories about their experiences with TSA officers.

Thomas Sawyer, a bladder cancer survivor, said he was humiliated after a pat down broke his urostomy bag, leaving the 61-year-old covered in his own urine. Sawyer said he warned the TSA officials twice the pat down could break the seal.

“I was so embarrassed and so petrified of going out into the airport and people would see me and quote unquote smell me,” Sawyer said. “My underwear had dropped to the floor and I’m standing there in front of them with my underwear and had to ask to pull it up.”

Cathy Bossi, a long-time flight attendant and breast cancer survivor said the TSA made her take off her prosthetic breast.

“She put her full hand on my breast and said ‘What is this?’ I said ‘It’s a prosthesis because I’ve had a breast cancer,’” Bossi said. “And she said, ‘You’ll need to show me that.’”

A video of a father taking his young son’s shirt off so he can be searched has gone viral online with nearly half a million views in just three days.

Passengers aren’t the only ones calling for a new look at security procedures.

President Barack Obama said Saturday that he understood people’s frustrations and told the TSA that there needs to be a constant refinement and “measure whether what we’re doing is the only way to assure the American people’s safety and you also have to think through are there less ways of doing it that are less intrusive.”

On “Face the Nation,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said there’s an ongoing question of assessing risk.

“I think that we have to be constantly asking ourselves, how do we calculate the risk?’ And sometimes we don’t calculate it correctly, we either understate it or overstate it.” she said.

When asked if she would submit to a pat-down, Clinton said: “Not if I could avoid it, no. I mean, who would?”

Pistole said he is “very aware” of the concerns raised by passengers and said if anyone feels their privacy was violated, they can file a complaint on the TSA’s website or ask for a supervisor at the airport.

“We’re here to protect you and your loved ones, especially this weekend when you’re flying home,” he said.

“We all wish we lived in a world where security procedures at airports weren’t necessary but that just isn’t the case,” Pistole said in a statement Sunday.
